Hi Eric, Welcome. Sure is great weather here, and detecting. We had a great camp with campfire and great company, around Sandstone, Western Australia in the middle of winter, hot in the middle of the day and comfortble nights. And found gold!

Hi Eric. You may be jealous of the gold and stones found over here but I wish we had the depth of civilization you do, the coins and artifacts found in the UK and Europe are amazing. Sometimes we just can't have it all!

You are looking in the wrong place for gold. You should be looking in Barnsley. There is alluvial gold in the Dove, all throughout Worsbrough Bridge. All the old coal miners have nuggets which they picked up in the pits, Barrow Colliery, Wentworth Silkstone and others...

I am from Brighouse and I will post some of my finds when I work out how to do it I use an iPad most of the time and it's a bugger to post photos on the forum I run
