Hello everyone,

I am keen to get into prospecting, particularly panning and maybe sluicing to begin with. I would love a Minelab, like the new GPX 8000, but that's out of the question pricewise at the moment.

I'm from just outside Bairnsdale, heading towards Deptford, so that's East Gippsland.

Wasn't into detecting then. I know the haunted stream has gold (and of course the omeo area) but not sure about whether or not you can pan there. You'll get plenty of feedback from the members in the know as to what's available down that way no doubt and feel free to throw up a new post asking the question in the relevant area.
