Hi i'm a huge huge fan of prospecting/gold mining
I'v been trying so hard for the past 3 year's to start prospecting and gold mining but i have no clue to where to start or where to look to start prospecting.
I have a construction building background with over 10+ on many high rise project thru out sydney NSW.
As soon as 2014 came along i knew right this has to be break or make year for me.

So what i'm seeking is to join a small team of prospectors in NSW to help me kickstart the basic of prospecting and mining.
I'm willing to give 100 percent of my time not only that i'm williing to offer the hardship work that comes along.
I'm a hard working driven person who has been struggling with not knowing how my life would be if i never got to do my dream goal.
Please i will accept any offers or a team that are looking to go prospecting.

I'm seeking to invest $10000.00 towards setting up my very own prospecting mining equipment once i understand how prospecting and mining work.

So Please if anyone from the community is seeking a helping hand while under going prospecting at the same time please contact me

:) thank you very very much

Welcome to the forum brenie, and glad to have you on board. The forum is a great way to gain the introduction you're looking for in this prospecting game. It takes many years to become proficient and one never stops learning the ropes.

The progression from Hobby fossicking, to full on commercial prospecting can at times be daunting, and productive leases are becoming as scarce as the gold within them. If the dream is filled with passion, great hurdles can be overcome, and the spirit to succeed can sometimes turn the tables of luck in your favor.

Hope the forum can steer you in the right direction, and may luck be on your side in the pursuit of those dreams,

Cheers Wal.

Hey Brendan,

I think the first thing is to grab a panning Kit / sieves and a couple of maps from either ebay or a prospecting store..... a trip to miners den in Parramatta if ur ever in that neck of the woods. Start looking at some prospecting vids on Youtube to get the hang of what everyone is up to. Most of us are self taught with the help of the Gurus on forums like this.....and you should soon be in the swing of things.

Don't buy a Gold detector yet (unless you can afford a GPX 5000).....keep researching with eyes and ears open.

Plenty of us blokes have all the toys required so teeing up with a group would be the way to really see what happens. Might see you at the next prospecting trip. You will find that campfires and bourbon are just as important in your quest for adventure! I could have used an extra hand on the weekend shovelling pay dirt...well maybe next time soon. Have a look at Gem areas around NSW as well, you may find it just as exciting as gold hunting!

Do you have a 4wd.....camping gear etc?

Peter
