Hi - getting into prospecting, annoyed at S7

Hi all.
Myself, wife, and 2 kids have recently gotten into some panning and gotten a Minelab Equinox 800, looking for some fun and hopefully gold while on holidays!
Seems I could spend endless days reading and learning, or just get out and do it, but it seems we've gotten started just as more areas are getting restricted... (we're in Vic)

Thanks for the wealth of information here, I've been reading threads on various areas and issues and appreciate the information that often otherwise seems hard to get.

Looking forward to more learning, prospecting! And hopefully less restrictions... Cheers!

Yes our Miners Rights seem to be an anathema to many in the green movement who have infiltrated positions of power. We all should be aware to ensure our activities leave minimal disturbance behind and give little excuse for restriction.
The S7 issue whilst not appearing to reduce any of our current prospecting opportunities does however provide openings for future administrative decisions that could.
I wouldn't worry too much about that though as you have strong allies in bodies like the PMAV and alert individuals on your side to watch the horizon in that regard.
Just get out there and enjoy searching.
