Hi All,

Iv'e been looking into the site as a guest for a while now and thought it was about time I joined up.
Picked up some great tips from all the posts that I have been reading, thank you.

I started out treasure hunting a few years ago and have really enjoyed the hunt, now taken up searching for the major prize , went around Mt Magnet and Cue area last year with an Xterra 705 gold pack, concentrated on old diggings without much luck.
Hopefully this year (during the cooler months) things will be better, now have the SDC2300, any pointer would be appreciated.

Hi Digore, welcome aboard, I'm a relative newbie here myself and am learning something new every day, great bunch of willing to share blokes on here. Lucky you being in WA, hope to get over there sometime as well, good luck with your SDC, heard its a pretty good tool for the yellow stuff.....

Good on you Digore for joining up, with the SDC I have seen a lot of gold found with that machine, and I have personally found a small piece with it as well. Just make sure you keep to areas you can be or get the right permissions. Be safe and best of luck out there.

just setting myself up to travel arround AUS, looking to buy top notch metal detector, would like to know what is the best. i am buying a toyota fully kitted land.. and going take 2 years to travel around starting from perth up to northern t and on !! and want to pay for this by metal detecting.. panning. mining.. would appriciate you exp advise and meet up with some chilled out mineral hunters..
