Hi all,
Been looking at the site for a while (gemstone localities) and now we're upcoast and off to the gemfields tomorrow (Rubyvale), thought I'd check in here finally. Wish I'd looked a few days back as we called in and had rough instructions from Bundy Gem Club about fossicking at Lowmead, but couldn't find the site.. I see there is a thread about it on here, so darn wish we'd looked as could have found some amethyst..
Mind you we're a bit spoilt down home as we have the luxury of fossicking Ewingar for smokey & amethyst.. Mostly chalcedony in the creeks near where we live..
Anyway, will have a looksee while we have internet at what's good round Rocky before we head off to Rubyvale.. probably drop in at Mt Hay for some thundereggs..
