Hi Guys,
First time on any forums. I have been prospecting for a couple of years mainly panning and sluicing. Started with a GPX 4000 late last year and it has really got me hooked. Looks like PA is a pretty friendly forum and i look forward to discussing my passion with like minded people.

Even better, a few of us from the forum have a regular meeting at the Miners den on the first Saturday of every month @9am.
Forum members and public alike are welcome, routine is to gather for a coffee and chin wag until midday then we often go for a drive somewhere of interest to do a bit of prospecting.
Feel free to drop by and say gday at the next one, always good to meet a new member up this way.

Thanks TGW, sounds like fun. I will definitely have to get around there sometime. It would be great to spin a yarn with some guys who have a good deal of experience. Is it all about detecting or do you get into alluvial prospecting as well.

Our cairns meet up is not happening at the Miners den as it will be closed the weekend we normally have it as George is away in Townsville
We have regulars that turn up that do alluvial and some detecting or both
Next meet up will be Saturday Oct the 3rd

Gregupnorth, how did your meet up go? I have been away, just go married and went on my honeymoon. I will definitely be keen to catch up next month if I am not working. Good to hear you do alluvial as well as detecting as I enjoy doing both.
