Just wanted to say hi to everyone. Been a lurker for a while on here and have decided to step out of the dark. A couple of weekends ago we went to Oallan to have a look and a play with a AM boss borrowed from my parents. Had a great couple of hours and found 5 spots of gold. But it was the experience that made it so much fun. Daming abit of the shallow water. My two sons who are 3 and 6 soon took over running of the sluice. Will hopefully go again soon

Welcome to the forum Dan. Great to hear that the "Forde" got you a few specs and that the family had a pleasant day out there. By going to the Forde does that mean you're based not far from there???.

Only reason I ask is we are having an outing out there on the 22/23 November, and if you had the time free I'm sure you would find it a great way to get to learn how to turn those "Specs" into "Grams". Check out the Member Meet up Section and the the topic "The Canberra Connection meet up".

Can't wait to get down there again, the boys have been asking but they have both been sick. Nothing more fun for kids than water sand and mud. I am seriously considering a car with Washington out interior for the next family hack.
We are from the Illawarra so we are not that far away.
Wal I hope to come to the planned weekend have a chat and see some techniques used.
Has anyone flicked a lure around Oallan?
