Hey all recently got myself an X-Terra 705 gold pack.
Got my paper work sorted and have so far spent about 50 odd hours in the whipsticks.
Haven't found any gold yet.

Except today i thought i found my first piece of gold....man i got excited.
Turns out after i cleaned it and scraped a bit off its lead.
Anyway im still keen, loving being out in the bush.

gidday mate and welcome
those whipsticks are tough going. My detectors go crazy out there.
Keep up the good work and you will eventually find some gold.
Bop :)

Welcome LC76 .... bet the excitement factor really kicked in when you found that odd shaped piece of lead.
I'd found so much lead of late that on first digging a target up yesterday a thought another piece of lead shot, first scrape with the fingernail didn't really show yellow but there was something that made me look again, bot of spit and there it was, gold.
A nice .27g piece, the 4th with the SDC (I'm only finding them as single pieces, yet to strike a "patch" that gives up more than 1).
Happy hunting, Tom.

Thanks for the welcome guys.

I have only just started to figure out this X-Terra in the Whipsticks.
Your right its tough in there but i'm learning what to listen for and what settings work best now and finding heaps of lead, bullets, ect so i can't be too far off finding some yellow.

Hi LC76, i have an Exterra as well but haven't been out to test it (next month Glendon i hope).
I will be watching with interest as to how well you go.
Cheers Jack
