Hi from AB Canada, soon to be in Perth

Hi from Alberta Canada.
I will be moving to Perth for a few years assignment and looking for some prospecting within a few hours of Perth.
I hold several BC placer claims back in Canada and I would expect the terrain and type of dabbling to be different.
I'm not moving our entire household but my Garret AT Pro and a few pans and small kit will be coming for sure.
I will read through what I can on the forum so I don't step out of line and stay within the rules and in safe areas.
Perhaps I will meet up with a few members of the forum for an outing or 2.

WA's goldfields are mostly dry so there's little opportunity to use your pans. The AT Pro is most often used here as a very good coin and treasure detector rather than a gold hunting machine. You will require a WA miner's right that comes with a few rules and regulations that must be adhered to but it's not difficult to play by the rules. An APLA membership will also assist in heading you in the right direction and the monthly meetings can get you in contact with others in the same game. Unfortunately there's not much opportunity to find gold within easy reach of Perth.
