i just wanted to introduce myself, I am Craig . I am in the market for a new hobby/obsession and have been interested in prospecting for some time and came across this site today . I live in south east QLD and was hoping to talk to members in this area or members in general about gold fossicking and prospecting. Welcome too the clan Craig, there are hours of reading here on various gold prospecting methods and ideas.
Don't hesitate to ask questions, we all began with out a clue.
My prospecting began back in the 80's in WA and still feel like a novice sometimes with the new technology rolling out.
No doubt you have already heard it can be an incurable fever, however you meet many like minded people and it can become one of the most pleasurable hobbies.
The most important aspect to remember is, no matter how experienced you become there will be "droughts", others are finding gold but you're not walking over it.
Good luck and take care out there, it is an unforgiving if you are not prepared.
