Hi everyone,

I'm Jim, a guy from Amsterdam who met an Australian girl 9 years ago and moved to Australia 2 years ago.

I've always been very interested in precious metals and metal detecting. Not long before I moved to Australia I bought myself a nice second hand detector and found some coins in the Netherlands. Unfortunately my detector has been stolen.

Now I moved to Australia I would love to get a detector again and start prospecting/fossicking in the bush.

Also it would be nice to get in contact with the prospecting community and maybe meet likeminded people.

Hi Jim, welcome to PA and welcome to Australia. There are plenty of us prospectors around, but at the moment most of us are unable to go out detecting because of Covid-19, so you will only find us on here getting grumpy and pulling each others feathers out :-D . Let's hope when it's all over we'll meet out in the field one day. Which state are you in?
