Hi,

Just a quick post to say hi. I'm a complete newb from the eastern suburbs of melb. I'm interested in both detecting and panning for gold, but I'm going the panning route to begin with for obvious reasons. I'm also interested in looking for some gems too but will probably focus on the gold to begin with.

I've been lurking for quite some time so finally decided to join. Hopefully I'll have something to show off very soon.

Oh and I posted a couple of questions over in the alluvial section.
