We first introduced ourselves back in May of last year, we had a great trip planned out to go to far NQ but unfortunately life had other ideas for us. We intended on posting each week but not long after we started on our way we had to return for family reasons. Now that everything has settled down and we are ready to endeavor once again on our rock picking/gold searching pursuits we thought we would post again after our long absence just to say hi and let everyone know we didn't get eaten by the Crocs or find that big gold nugget and go into hiding. So, sorry for the let down folks but hopefully we can contribute more from our future travels. We did get away about a month ago to the QLD Gemfields which was an eye opener and a half. We had five days up there and ended up with 10 grams of Sapphires and Zircons. Plus on the first day we believe we may of specked a huge Orange/Red Zircon off the ground (will post pic) but the only thing that has us doubting it is it's sheer size. We will have to get that one looked at by a valuer/gem classifier but we're excited no matter what it turns out to be due to it's beauty and the fact it was found just sitting on the ground right where we decided to set-up camp. We are trying to learn how to photograph gems and will put some pictures up of our recent finds. So after that recent little trip we are super excited to get out looking for some rocks again and hopefully also meet some people who share the same interests.
