The name is Keith from Victoria and I have recently purchased a second hand GPX 5000 to full fill my wish to do some prospecting now that my latter years have arrived. Until now I have been a lurker reading and trying to absorb as much as I can, which has been considerable so far. To date I have been reading up on the various tools of the trade that I may need. This site has been invaluable in this regard. :8

The item I am currently swatting up on is a speaker amplifier system. I have been tossing up between the B&Z Booster and the Treasure Mate II. Any input on these would be appreciated.

Welcome Keith, wow good choice for a first detector, I dont know much about them but I'm sure someone can help you with the external speakers.
