I found the monster a bit , well confusing, should have been simple, not much targets, chased any little sound, seemed to balance it self out, id say phantom targets.

I noticed when it gave an initial target, a few swipes over it and it would go silent and indicate gold unlikley.

Or id start digging then nothing gone, check area , gone silent.

See the machine is dead silent until it hits something, i should have practised on some lead or something.

Sounds out coins pretty decent and bullets.

But i dont have a nugget , i put a coin 6 inches in the ground and covered it,sounded out really well , then after a few swoops over, no sound Nothing.

Then i went over some ground next to the coin and came back, and bang signalled off the coin again. My concern is i am wondering if it auto balances the target and dissapears , no good for me.

For a complete new person who has very little experience, ive been out a few times, this new detector didnt help me , i felt lack if knowledge.

Im chasing the gold maps of doug stone maps.

Im in nsw so its hard to find credible un-milked thrashed ground.

I am going to a place in 2 weeks, private farm where nuggets have been found , this will be a true test for me .

But again seemed like it had no idea what was underneath, so it was a case of dig everything and in fact i found some bullets and metal shrapnel, but i feel as a newbie i should have brought i sdc or higher, id feel more confident.

Probably need a course or join a club, i reckon because i have no idea really im missing something.

Will see how it goes in a coupla weeks.

Im near revesby nsw, but ill drive 3.5 to 4 hours or more to any location , such as orange or oberon etc, batemans bay district etc .to look
