Hi all..well you all sound a great bunch from wide backgrounds and all over the place..scattered like gems here there and everywhere.
Im a fit 63 yr old male, single and ready to get involved in fossicking on a long term scale but have no equipment/vehicle or gear whatsover. (I love everything about the outdoors and enjoy walking, sketching, photography, exploring etc).
I am ready to go see our beautiful country in depth.
What I'm hoping and wishing for is to join up with someone as a companion, (I could be their driver, cook and share expenses having a variety of practical skills).
I will leave it at that for the moment as i realise it maybe difficult and just see who maybe interested or put me in the right direction.
I welcome any enquiry.

Your artistic talents are showing there with the reference to people being like gems scattered around n about , very kind of you to notice the sparkle in their characters

Which part of the continent are you in ?

there are some groups in NSW that organise weekends or other trips to various locations for fossicking in gold or gem country , no doubt other state members will chime in to suit where you are

you can find mapping tools in the forum too in case you feel the inclination to download those , they can be imported into google earth for some basic location referencing to favourable areas

Thanks for the welcome.
Im down in the 'freezer' Tasman Peninsula area after having lived for the past 10 years in 35+ temps.
Im hoping that in time someone may conisider my offer of joining with them as a companion to travel about greater Australia visiting many places of interest.
I have good skills to offer and can drive all manner of vehicles, do mechanical repairs, cook, wash etc.
You never know!

Prolly the quickest way to get a hit to tag along with someone, is to get some gear of your own & some experience out in the field.

Hi marty..thnx for the advice and encouragement..i did some prospecting back in late 70s and have fossicked on and off most of my life..of course i am prepared to buy the necessary gear once i get the correct advice and have been accepted. I have regular income but no vehicle nor am in a position to buy one but will contribute of course. Im sure i can come to some arrangement! Thnx again. benton
