I'm new to the prospecting game. I'm based in Townsville North Queensland. Looking forward to purchasing a detector and getting out to explore! Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated

What detector are you looking at & are you going to look for "Gold" or coins & stuff?

Take a look at the "Gold localities & information" there is a lot of information for "Prospectors" in QLD

Hi lee,

I have not chosen a detector yet, just wanted to hear everyone's opinions on what is alright. I would love a GPX5000 or a new GPZ7000 unfortunately my bank account won't allow this. I will be seeking out gold.

It's beautiful weather up here at the moment. Perfect to be outdoors.
