Hi All from Nowra

Hi All, my name is Barry and located in Nowra - seems like there are a few down this way on this forum, also fairly new to the fossicking hobby (about 4 months) . I retired several months ago and thought I would give the yella a go to keep me active... Equipment includes highbanker (now up to version 3.0) , gold hog mats, miners moss , blue bowl, river sluice, 12500LPH pump, Minelab xterra 70. I have done lots of research on the Nerriga area and experimented a lot but so far no huge finds in the Oallen area - best I have done in a day is about 1 gram of fine gold. At least the practice on this flour gold is great to hone the techniques. I intend going to Oallen at least once per week (midweek) if anyone is interested.

Happy retirement Bazza; I have 6 months to wait (waiting for new financial year)! Great hobby. The xterra 70 is a beaut detector - very versatile. While its difficult to use on the mineralised ground down here in Vic, it is a little ripper on clear ground/quartz. Hope you enjoy yourself. Sounds like you are off to a flier with the gram - a good start. If can get at least that every week, nice little earner. Happy New year to you as well.
