Hi to everyone, I have been reading the forums here for a little while now and felt it best to join up and introduce myself.
I am just starting to get into prospecting and fossicking with my family as some fun and a hobby as my two boys are now old enough to enjoying it as well.
For my first trip away we went to Nundle to look for Crystals and Gold, we found some nice Crystals and some Zircons and Sapphires. In the gold department we did start finding some small specs after the sixth pan but had to move on and head home before anything interesting was found.
I will be heading back out to Nundle and the surrounds when I next get the chance just to work on my technic, gain experience and see what else there is as Nundle is only a couple of hours away.
If its ok I'll post up some maps and pictures of what we found in the forums later, as I found the maps from the tourist centre to leave a little to be desired.
