Hi all

My name is Michael I'm from Bentleigh VIC.

I'm slowly getting into Metal Detecting(mainly just hitting up local parks and beaches) and I'm wanting to get into Gold Prospecting.

I'm hoping to find some good locations to go hunting for gold. I've got a pan and pick and an X-terra 305 and have done a ton of online reading and watching of youtube video's. I have done one trip out to Creswick VIC but just found a heap of rubbish which is still entertaining to a degree.

Just hoping to get tips and advice on best practice's when it comes to looking for place's I can go detecting legally. I also have a Miner's Right which I carry with me when I go detecting. I haven't had to pull it out but I want to make sure I'm covered.

I'm also hoping to find some locations to go prospecting on the eastern side of VIC as I think it might be less traversed by prospectors.
Advise and Tips would be greatly appreciated.
