Hi all we are the team at Detectaden Canberra avid readers first time posters .Hoping to place super specials on your sponsor page once we learn to navigate the forum.
Regards
Terry DD

That's great news Terry, I'll we watching for those specials.

See you at the shop BBQ tomorrow.

Welcome to the forum Terry. Great to see some more expertise in the detecting field amongst our group. Happier still that the Southern Connection can now have a complete range of detectors to have a play with and get advice on. Look forward to sharing some of your expertise with the 5000 and the 2300 amongst the threads, and keen on your advice regarding the ATX. All the very best with the Super Store down in Canberra.

Look forward to catching up at the BBQ open day at the store tomorrow lunch time.

Cheers Wal.

Thank you Wal looks like the rain might hold off too so should be a great day. All three machines you mentioned are here ready and waiting for people to pick up, play with, and test See you here
Cheers
Terry

Still can't get over the news you got in the shop about the High banking gear getting stolen from the back of the ute outside the Neriga pub, and to even steal his full concentrates bucket as well. There's some real scumbags out there that's for sure. To take the Banker including pump is about as low as you can get. Couple that with the bloke having his 5000 pinched from his home, and the guy who stole the 2300 from your shop, it hasn't been a great week.

Better keep our eyes open during the Forde Outing, as the Neriga culprit probably isn't too far from that region.

Stealing a mans gear is as low dog act as it gets. Particularly when he's in the place of refreshment after a days toil.
I would like a couple of minutes alone with such scum, I guarantee they would not do it again.

I suppose it would wrong of me to suggest a long walk off a short pier for those who practice in the art of removing what does not belong to them.

Bloke goes out for a pleasant day on the stream and this happens only 30 minutes away, while grabbing a quick drink on the way home. Bad enough when it happens in town, but out in the middle of nowhere. What makes it worse is he's more than likely a prospector himself....and if that's how you treat your own kind then you get all that's coming to you.

Is this what we have to put up with now. Do we need security at Oallen? I will be watching like a hawke. Looks like wire cables or chains all round.

Sorry state of affairs John when you need to be looking over your shoulder every minute, to make sure your gear is not wandering into some scumbags car.

G'Day All

Can we get a description of the gear incase we see someone with it? There are not that many places to go where he can use it these days. Probably someone from Oallen. Also put a description up at the Pub maybe

Will have a talk to Terry and see what we can do. I'd put money that the culprit saw the banker working at the Forde.

Wal.

Good day Terry and welcome to the forum, I'm the bloke who bought the skid plate of you for my ATX. Can't believe what I'm reading people stealing prospecting stuff (from your car&home) how low can it get?

Skid plate works great mate, the hardest thing was to take of my existing tape. Took it out to Tuena for a spin yesterday combined with some panning / beer and Chris's BBq (chops) = well stayed over night to avoid the skippies.

Hello Joe
Glad to hear you are out enjoying what Tuena has to offer,The stolen property was not from my home or car but from those of customers mate. The 2300 was unfortuntaly from the shop though . Hope the skid plate is riding over Gold :)
