I thought I would introduce myself. I am from NSW and have only been introduced to gold panning and gem hunting pretty cool weekend activities.
Been to a few places and met a few forum members. Love to hear your stories and see your finds.
I am a bit spoilt I have no gear I go with friends and use theirs ? I have an Aldi metal detector still yet to have a real fiddle with it.

Where have you used your detector?
I have taken mine to Hill End haven't had any luck. Was thinking maybe the beach would be a great place to start?
