I have been wanting to do some gold prospecting for many years and never really had time, The time has come for me to start. I live in Sydney and spend a lot of time on the mid north coast visiting family and friends, There are some abandoned gold mines from the gold rush that have been mined many times, I want to do some panning around where I have been told the old timers had there hammer mill to process the gold, Of course there are no maps only stories from the old folk in town who had family work there so I want to test some of these sites and make my own mind up once and for all, I have panned some areas and its a bit of a laugh for people that know me when they ask me if I have found any gold yet.
