Hello

I am new here, so I thought I would say hello.

I am very new to Fossicking, and am eager to expand my knowledge and meet others who share my interests.

I am yet to do any prospecting for gold, but I am hoping when the weather warms up to give it a crack.

I am from Shellharbour near Wollongong in NSW and so far have only been looking for gems in a few places around the Southern Highlands.

I am very excited to have stumbled across this forum while looking for fossicking supplies online.

My step mum and I drove up to Grabben Gullen two weeks ago, it was freezing but we stuck with it, our fingers and toes went numb eventually so we left (And have since purchased pretty snow boots and gloves) It was snowing around Goulburn when we were driving home, But being the crazies we are, we're planning another trip up the mountain on Wednesday.

i am a fan of neoprene (spelling?) gloves for diving, spearfishing etc, you can submerge them your hands still get wet but not as bad as just bare hands in a freezing creek, i havent made it to GG yet but want to get out there and chase gems

Thanks for the tip, I'll have to check them out, we bought bicycle gloves and also dish washing gloves to go over the top.
