Hello everyone. Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Scott and I am from Arizona in the USA. Im not necessarily new to metal detecting, but dont get out enough to enjoy the hobby. I live in the East Valley of Phoenix, AZ and try to visit California often. At the moment I am visiting a Cousin of mine and her husband up in Stanislaus County, near the Motherload area, and have brought a couple of MDs with me just in case I get an itch to prospect. I am still a proud owner of a Minelab XT17000 which I purchased in Arizona back in 1994, and am trying to find out as much as possible about the machine so that I might get the best use out of it. Ive very rarely used it but I know it is capable of finding a pea-sized piece of lead at 9 deep (they shoot a lot of bullets in AZ :/ ). Hoping that while Im in the Motherload I may find a nugget or two :goldnugget: . Trying to find the most ideal places to go without breaking any laws is quite challenging :argh: .
