Yes, I am another newbie. I am a 59 year old married man, self employed and now starting to enjoy myself. I have had a life long love affair with the Aussie bush and camping. I have fond memories as a kid growing up in Deniliquin and being dragged all over Victoria with Dad fossicking and panning. Now I have got the bug back big time. I have done my research and I have started to put together my kit. Finding gold is not the main aim, but finding it will be the bonus. The aim is to enjoy myself, the bush and meeting great like minded people. I have decided that I want to do my fossicking the "old way", that is panning, cradle and minimum impact. I joined this forum to seek advice from like minded people and to further my knowledge and improve my skills. I am looking forward to getting into the bush. If you see me " head down bum up" in a creek, stop and say hello.
