Hello from Sydney

Hey all, newbie from Sydney here.

I've been looking into gold prospecting/detecting for the last couple of months, as it sits well with a few other interests of mine, and I must admit, it's all pretty exciting. I'm sure a few fruitless days hunting in the searing heat will keep me grounded though

I'm hoping to hire a GPX 5000, and SDC 2300 in the coming weeks, to see if that's the direction I'd like to head.

Anyway, thanks for this great site, and your understanding as I stumble around with my newbie-ness. Would love to meet up with others who actually have a clue, who could give me a few pointers
