Hi all,

Complete newbie to forum and detecting, i bought my first metal detector which got delivered Friday, got it off ebay, think its chinese, the only identifying number on it says mdector GC1010. I heard they aren't too bad especially for beginners and for what i want it too do, (beach and park detecting for coins, jewelry etc).

I'm from the Hunter Valley, not far from Newcastle NSW.

Looking forward to learning and sharing in this fun hobbie with you all.

I just love the goonies movie, it has to be my all time favourite.

I just got back from 5 hours frolicking in the sand. I am completely addicted.....I will create a new post in the correct topic of my finds.........i have found a vvveerrryyy interesting objec 8) t. Will create post now.
