Hey everyone,
Im Matt. From the Illawarra area NSW. Ive had an idea for a while now about going prospecting for gold for a while now and have decided that now is the time. Im planning a few weekend trips myself and then a few with the family -mrs and 5 kids -although the 16+17 yr olds prob wont come......

Id love to hear ideas and tips from all and obviously I will happily help others if needed!!

We have had a bit of an influx of Illawarra members recently. Maybe you could all get together and learn from each other?

Haha. Just that you can learn from each other. Nothing more sinister than that. Even though I had about 3 years experience when Rocket started detecting, he certainly taught me many things. We both got our XP Deus the same day but I would say he has a better knowledge of it than I do. If ya tell anyone that I said that I will deny it!

anyway ... back to topic,
what i believe is that he is suggesting that Illawarra members should organize a meet soon, due of plenty of people in here around that area ...
would be nice to see gatherings as we do in Vic , in other states and regions as well

Hi Matt, Welcome to PA mate, i am from the illawarra too, as said there are a few from the illawarra, what type of prospecting are you into? detecting, panning etc
