It amazes me as to why anyone would want to do this.

Yep - go the Vics!!!! Not going this year for the first time in ages. Never mind - we are making up with it with a cast of about 60, BBQ, keg, handball competition (just hung the tyre), token hunt with two xterras for the kids, easter egg hunt (those player things from Coles) and assorted baffoonery!!
