Hullo Forum members. A bit about me - name's Reg (only ever Reginald to my Mum and Nan). Recently retired from the construction industry (foundations and footings) - managed to retire with an OK back and 9 1/2 fingers after 43 years of hard yakka. Now living to the west of Bendigo Vic and loving no more Melbourne traffic. I have been a fossicker/prospector on and off for a few decades; started panning, moved to VLFs then PIs - pretty standard history. I have been running a GPX 5000 for a few years now - excellent detector and I have done OK. No huge gold, just consistent smaller finds. I tend to concentrate more on new ground but hit old mullock with a smaller coil from time to time. I do a lot of research and it's great having the Bendigo Goldfields Research Centre (at the library) 1/2 drive away - wonderful collection and very nice staff. Good luck to all of you - Reg.
