Greek coin found today.

Spent an hour or so in a local park today. The usual trash, a few moderns and this greek coin.
Thought I'd found something old.... Then saw the date. Oh well still an interesting one for the collection.

Mate you probably have more coin right there than some of the greeks in Greece the way it's been going. A nice unusual find.

Yeah it is amazing what pops out of the ground.
I have a 20 Euro coin from a beach a few months ago.

20 Euro is a great score, wish the $5 coin was more popular here.

Being Greek myself, I can safely say you do not need to put that one in the safe
Before they switched to the Euro, you could get about aprox 150 of those coins for $1 Australian.

Foreign coins always make for more interesting detecting, regardless of age or value. The last three foreign coins I found were a Euro, Kiwi dollar and a Thai baht, nothing amazing, but still worth a second look.
