So an issue I have with using the 7000 is its working to well. I have to carry my pick on my shoulder and I need to get a back pack to carry gear like gps phone even just my smoke packet if any metal is on me it needs to be carried above waist height up around chest height or the coil picks it up just interested to know how others deal with this. I see people swinging 7000's with pick holders on their waist etc is this not getting picked up or can you hear tones of multiple targets when swinging or am I swinging to close to my body. interested to know how others set themselves up to head off for a swing before starting up the 7000

I carry my pick on my left hip in a hammer holster.
When using the 14" coil there is no problem but wack on the 19" using normal/general it would pick up my pick so I had to move it behind my back.
Just out of curiosity are you wearing steel cap boots? Or boots with metal eyelets/zip etc?

I stitch a hammer holster on harness in between shoulder blades for pick and tryed to get everything else at chest hight

Cheers so it isn't just me at least I need to just work out a comfortable way to carry everything I like the idea of stitching the holster on at the shoulder blades

Maybe something like this will help.

I hanging my pic off my left hip swing the 7000 in my right hand, junk bags is right hip.. my phone, which is my GPS / maps in my rear pocket in flight mode and I don't pick up any interference with the 14 inch coil. My 7000 is Shaft is fully extended :)

Another solution is stilts and an extended shaft. You can still carry your pick at the hip that way. Alternatively sylvester stallones lifts will get you into nosebleed territory.

My pick's tucked under my front belt as I find it to heavy to keep over my shoulder at times, guess I'm getting to old :-(

Have a rum with Density before you head out and you won't feel a thing ]:D.

I wear a Camelbak so I put the pick between it and my back so the head runs across my shoulders. I also do this with a full size pick.

Regards Axtyr.
