GPX 4500

Hi Im new to site and metal detecting
Was covering some ground today and the gpx 4500 went crazy like a continuous flat battery sound .Has anyone experienced this before.

Also best setting for my gpx4500

learn to use it on factory preset, then experiment with gain :Y:

Where were you detecting?
Are you close to emi?
How old is the machine?
Was it working before?
Was it dropped or anything happened?
Is it genuine?

Detecter 2 years old havent used it much.
I was detecting on a rocky area the noise I heard was a continuous strong noise very similar to the flat battery
Sound.I have never had it do the sound before .
Im heading there again today to investigate further.
The area was about 1/2 meter wide
And continued done the ridge of the hill
