Got my first detector....want to have a play around with it

Just picked up a cheapish introductory Minelab gold detector - so I can can learn the basics.

Just wondering if there is a good spot I can go to test it out?

Gday. What model Minelab do you have and what are you hunting ? Coins etc. or gold ?

I recommend the dry sand at a beach for easy digging and the chance of good targets, if the beach cleaning machines and other detectorists haven't cleaned it out first. :money:
