What an amazing place to look for gold. By contrast to the dry deserts and bushland (beautiful too) but to mix things up when the searing summer heat sends all the prospectors home from WA this would be a great goto location.

Hey guys I can confirm this is NZ and it was indeed a pleasure to scrape that lot out of crevices. It was myself and a mate that found the booty!
The gold below is what I found nearer the top of the creek and made me want to check out the rest of it. If you look at boulder creek gold in my videos that is from when I was digging some of the gold up the top. It was taken with a crappy digital cam before I had the HD camera. Thanks for watching.

Cheers for the replies guys! Nuggetino - I have been looking for gold for about 15 years but more intensively for the last 8 or so. This is among the best days I have had in that time. I have spent a lot of time looking over new areas and am not always rewarded with good finds. It helps a lot if you do research before you go out! This area was a gold producer back in the gold rush days but its a 10km hike to get to which puts some guys off... My brother and I hiked in one day, dug all day, then hiked back out. That was a hard earned 9g that day! And here is another picture for those that like scenery, its looking down a small gully over which I am luck enough to have a claim with a few chaps. Plus some gold from the claim.
