This is a good site and I have registered ... I have read through a lot of your posts and have found some great tips and more knowledge about what the site is all about.. I have always been interested in prospecting and now have the time to put into trying to find a good quiet spot not too far away that will yield a few spots of the yellow or some local gemstones..

Me and my mate will be going for a scratch next Saturday.. We have been working our way across a very wide gravel bar at cafery flat.. The creek is very narrow all the way back to the cells river system 30 ks up and widens right out on the big bar and drops a lot of gravel as it widens out.... Gold was found 30 kms further down stream years ago... Nothing has been found on the bar yet... Another trip or two and we will have worked the bar over pretty good and should know if there is anything there..
