Yeh been around plenty of years I think, takes a while to master a straight cut but great for curves. It comes into its own where you don't want to burn things to avoid rusting like colorbond or gal sheet, for aluminium I'd still just use a grinder for straight cuts.
I found this brand of plasma to be one of my most used tools in the shed, robust and light its given me over 18months of non stop cutting from .8mm sheet up to 12mm plate, i have saved a fortune on 5" cutting disks, from shed work to site to underground, never had any trouble, consumable's are pretty cheap too
