About to head scrub with a mate to do some detecting.
Hoping to find anything. Bullets, relics or gold.
I'll be happy with any of the above just to get to know my machine & to know it works.
Only going for a few hrs tho...
Be exploring an old gold town long gone.
Will try & remember to take some pictures.

Have a great day y'all

Here's a picture of my arsenal

Had a good first session with the detector. Picked up the targets found no probs.
Glasses, plough thinggo(1883 Patent it says), grease dispensor cup, tent peg, old car badge, rusted shovel head.

No gold but quite happy with my finds.

Was a good day - bit overcast.

Found several mine shafts - one quite deep. No pictures of them tho - I did forgets...

The tricycles look like they haven't moved for many many years & we left them like that.

Can't wait to do it all again.

Hi Ag Man...great to see some old history come to light. Looks like a great spot to find some relics.....Got an identical whites in the shed that will never get used...If you need a spare for the missus your more than welcome to have it for free. Even got the same search coil..Liz told me i have to clean out the shed....and as you know....Happy wife...happy life,.Cheers Wal. :)

Thanks Wal, that's a very kind offer.
My Mrs isn't all that interested in the whole prospecting thing & the detector would just hang in my shed.

If you are offering the detector, perhaps post up a thread here if anyone who is interested in a first detector?

This was only my first real outing with it & seemed to make all the right noises compared to the other detectors out with me today.

Yeah, nice spot & doesn't look to have anyone visit it for a long time :D

Thanks Marty.....got some new comers in the Canberra Lapidary Club who might be able to make use of it....If no takers I'll put up a post. They're still a great little machine for coins and great to learn with....Cheers Wal. :)

Thanks all,
The last 40 years or so, this area has been only accesable by foot or via canoe.
Look forward to revisiting
