G'day fellow prospectors ive just come in from the best part of the day on the fields having a swing with a close friend of mine the "gold guru"(sd 2100),
like any other day it kicked off with an early start, and a mother can, we met up at one of our prospecting spots had a chat and kicked off the detecting.
Within the first two hours the gold guru had pulled a very nice 2.5grm piece, whilst i had to settle with doing my part for clean up australia day 8.( (shoulda bloody registerd) . As you will notice from the pictures the 14"dd coil on the 2100 is a favorite of the gold guru's,which becomes vey clear when you realise there is the best part of a tube of black sikaflex holding it all together
not to dispare it was early and had plenty of time before the march fly invasion, so we cotinued on for the best part of 2-3 hours eventually stopping back at the utes for a drink, chat and info swap, to no joy of the Au kind but plenty more rubbish to clear the bush. 8.(
we then agreed to have one last dip but only use the 5000 in the area where he had found the 2.5grm piece.I was running a commander coil (as seen in pics) not long into the swing and we picked up a soft sounding target and sure as it was a wee little piece of GOLD
finally the Au vs 5000 battle was over HOOOOBLOOODYRAY
Now normally i would bore you for the best part of a paragraph on how we dug it and weighed it......BUT....this is where i want to give something back....
this certainly would not of been possible if it wasnt for the gold guru finding his piece which led us to the other , and it certainly would not of been possible if it wasnt for the help i recieved from forum readers who gave me thier advice and 5000 settings
So i would like to donate this piece to the prospecting forum for guess the weight competion it aint a lot but hey golds gold
could you PM me nugget so i can send this off to you............cheers dwt...... 8)
