Unfortunately it's the way of the world in a number of places Jaros. I wrote an editorial about the absolute pigsty state many anglers were leaving the Seven Gates area of Lake Eucumbene in some time ago, warning that it would only be a matter of time before the authorities acted and closed down access. Thankfully it hasn't happened yet but the pigs are still trashing the joint unfortunately so i don't hold out much hope for future access.
The trouble is the culprits will simply move on and destroy the next place when places do get shut, they don't give a stuff, and it's those of us that do appreciate and treasure wild places and free access that suffer most.
