One for the diary -

The 2015 GEMBOREE, will return to the Wimmera Events Centre at Dooen, near Horsham, in Victorias Wimmera at Easter next year.
The first GEMBOREE was held in Coonabarabran (NSW) in 1965 and
Victoria hosted its first GEMBOREE at Beechworth in 1969.
The 2014 GEMBOREE was held in Gatton, Queensland.

This fantastic venue, 300km north west of Melbourne, will make the perfect base for an extended Victorian holiday centered on the GEMBOREE

Our friendly team of GEMBOREE volunteers will ensure you have the time of your life if you choose to camp on-site. Bring you caravan (or tent) and join us from noon on Wednesday 1st April and stay until the 7th. We have hundreds of great level campsites to cater for rigs of all sizes.

The Longernong Field day site is a fantastic place for the Gemboree The last one there was good & talking to the organisers this one should be even better. I've been working on my competition entries - have until January to get them all done before posting them in for judging. The planned field trips are also worthwhile and there is something for the detector enthusiasts - not too far from Deep Lead and the Golden Triangle. Make sure you reserve a place on your calendar for next Easter at Horsham.
