Hi Ladies and Gents,

Im Tyler, I have recently moved down to Melbourne from Cairns (what was I thinking I know).
I have been prospecting for 9 years so far but have not had used a detector before last month.
I can't believe it has taken me this long to get on board i wish i listened from the start.
Anyhow.
I am looking to buy a second hand Minelab GPX3500 or the SCD2300, do you think either of these machines will be adequate for what I want to achieve.

Im not looking to make a million I just want to have some fun with the family and hopefully find a few pieces.

Cheers Everyone!

Tyler

Welcome,
I did the opposite move 33 years ago and I aint goin back, you'll need an icepick and a snakebite kit(#410 Is best) to detect in Victoria.

G'day Tyler welcome to PA if your after fun for the family buy the SDC2300 it's a turn on and go machine that will find you gold, can be used at the beach and submersible to 3 metre's. Mind you if your using it in water (submersed) you'll have to buy suitability submersible headphones, submerging the coil alone won't require submersible headphones. All the best when you get out there, get 10 post's up and you'll see the members section and can join in meet up's to learn a bit more.
