Hi everyone I live in Victoria not to far from the Ovens River I was put onto this site after talking to a bloke that was doing a bit of panning one day whilst I was out fishing and I haven't left the site since  I love to pan and I have a homemade high banker with a little 2stroke motor that I have had great success with in the past. I do like to contribute where I can so please excuse me now if I jump in on a topic here and there in the future .. I have had the fever for about 5 years now so I don't have a lot of experience but I must say I am full of bright ideas ... Safety1st ;)

Welcome to PA safety1st. We can always do with more members with bright ideas mate

As I said earlier safety1st welcome to the forum and thanks for sharing a bit about yourself.
Make sure your contributions flow as good as the Ovens River.
Cheers Steve :D

Thanks, I will try to give what I can but I cant promise anything special as the site really is jammed packed full of great prospecting information. And I must say the Mods do a great job of having the members best interest at heart and keeping order  from what I have seen just browsing over the site watching threads grow and I fully respect them for the way they stop things b4 they get out of hand.. so thanks again members .. Safety1st

Seeing as how you've mentioned the Ovens River, reports are it's been fishing very well indeed. ;) ;) :)

I don't get out as much as would like scrounger but I must say I hooked my largest cod in the ovens no selfies unfortunately and I am as good as fisherman as I am a prospector and judging by my gold count I believe I am lacking something in this department ;)

Practice may not make us perfect mate but it definitely increases our chances in detecting and fishing ;) So the answer is to get out more and do both more often :)

I totally hear you scrounger, I possibly have been know to procrastinate here or there  and missing out on the finer things in life like fishing and gold and lets face it with those 2 thing what else is there that's needed in life ;)

Thanks Jaros I really appreciate it ;) the site is very addictive  Thanks again for having me .. Safety1st
