G'day from Sydney

Hi all

Just joined your forum but have been reading for quite some time. I live in Sydney but have a brother in Glen Innes and have spent a bit of time scratching for sapphires and gold from Cape York to Marble Bar. Have had limited success but enjoy the chase.

I am heading to Grabben Gullen tomorrow with my family, near the bridge based on info posted on the forum and some great videos. Thanks Wal and Liz.

If anyone is around on the weekend, look out for a grey landcruiser and two young boys up to their eyeballs in mud and say g'day.

Welcome to the forum Wally. Glad you have found the forum a good read and great to have you on board. Hope the GG trip goes well and a few sapphires find their way into your sieves.

We head out that way quite often ourselves so will say G'day if we see you and the boys playing in the mud. Best of luck and look forward to chatting on the threads.

Thanks for the welcome.

Had a great day at GG, only found two blue chips so obviously dug in the wrong spot 8 out of 11 times.

To add to the excitement my boys ran into the local red belly, made friends with the leeches and had a visit from a friendly shingle-back lizard.

And to top it off I scored 15oz of gold at the Grabby pub on the way home making it a great day out. Got to give it to those XXXX guys they know how to quench the thirst.
