G'day from Sydney

Hi All
My names John I've been prospecting/detecting a couple of years with a couple of mates, we haven't found anything of value , but we enjoy getting out from the city and being outdoors (a bad day prospecting is still better than a good day at work :lol: ). We all have different detectors from a gpx4500 , xterra 70 and a Gold snoop we also try panning. We a very casual compared to most others, due to we haven't got a clue what we are doing most of the time :8 but it is a learning experience. So from time to time I will try to pick all you brains with some intelligent and more likely silly questions.

welcome mate this is the place to learn every one is keen to help and I am sure you will soon find some thing don't give up a lot of good videos by wal and liz they will show you the way check them out sure it will help I am new to this but found sapphire on my second trip so good luck

Thanks guys, I have seen some of the videos by Wal and Liz on youtube they are great to watch and they make it look so easy I guess it comes down to knowledge and experience.
