Staying in Gawler at a mates and was bored today. I decided to have a little play in the Gawler river with my small Angus sluice and a pan. Was surprised to of found 3 small specks after bout an hr of digging. Wont get rich there but there is flood gold present.

Gday Whitey, with all the gold finds between the Onkaparinga River and the Barossa Valley there has to be gold in every single creek between, as well as on the Adelaide floodplains, which unfortunately is pretty well all urban developed. Its just a matter of finding somewhere its ok to pan/sluice, which is the hardest part, then digging deep enough. Dont forget there is the Goldfields Club of SA which has outings every second month if your looking for like minded people. May the Sluice be with you my friend. Brett

It does make you think that is for sure. I may look into the goldfields club. Thankyou
