Free Gold Diamond Ring!

I wasn't sure which category to post this but its a cool story.

So I was Swinging down near Batemans Bay on the weekend and after I checked an area I had luck with on another day I passed an older guy who was beach fishing. He called me over and asked how my luck was going ( not too good!) and he said to me that he lost a gold diamond ring a few days prior on another beach (which was within eyeshot) and guess what - he told me if I found it I could have it!

I told him if I did find it I would give it to him but by the time I had finished searching the area he told me where he lost the ring he had packed up anyway...

and I didn't find the ring.. bugger

I'll have to get a PI.

Has anyone else had experiences like this?

Yes, 99.99% pulling your leg for a laugh.... BUT there's always that 0.01% though!

Yeah he could have been taking the mickey but he seemed genuine! I was gonna scan that beach anyway!
