Fossils looking for fossils!

Hi all - I have just been asked by Ms 5yr "Gwanny, are those stones as old as you" whilst we wander through the many posts that have cought our eye, and it occures to me..... She's a smart lil_girl! And whilst replying "I think they mite be a tad older than me hunni bunni" I really wanted to pull her tongue out and jump on it! But she did confront me with a brilliant snapshot of a Fossil (sillouette? of Catweisle) delighting in digging in fossils!....(me - me thinks) And I guess that's how I feel as I launch into this, kinda excited with what the next chapter in life holds for me. Minerals seems to be where I am happy to focus just now so here goes. I have absolutely no knowledge of what to do or how to do it so if there is any advice for us newbee's out there, please bring it on. I invite you to make a prospector out of me in due course.
